I'll be going in tomorrow morning to give blood, conveniently my school has organised a Blood Drive at the same time as MacRumors! Hopefully all goes well and someone will benefit from what my organs have to offer.

Hey, I was wondering if there's a free or cheap program that can make pictures black and white, but have certain things colored. I have graphic converter. But I don't know how to use it to do something like that. If you can do it with graphic converter, please tell me how. Thanks!

I dont blame Apple suing Samsung and I dont blame Samsung suing Apple.

The US patent office. They are becoming more retarded every year. A girl got a patent on a specific way to "swing the swing." US patents are just like worthless papers that pave the way to sue the crap out of each other.
In the end, AAPL wont win and neither will SM. only the lawyers.

Just let FT know you don't want to be bothered and let the rest of us get the 50% off deals.
If you don't know that you can negotiate a better deal when leaving or after you have left, and you rely on giving up your personal info in order to obtain such "benefits," you deserve what you get.
And to borrow your line of argument, let those of us who value our privacy stick with Apple, and you go enjoy Android and let FT and everyone else know everything about you.

Sorry if its been posted, i couldn't find it. so i have an old Digital audio powermac g4 and for some reason it wont boot to the os, it makes a loud beep (not the startup chime) the fans spin up and the hard drive spins, however if you plug a screen into the computer the screen goes into sleep mode. the power light just blinks on and off too, like once every second. Im dont know what is wrong with it.

I think it is a way that Apple can earn more money from the App Store.
A cheap cash in for Apple, as the iPad simply is a pregnant iPod touch. And it lacks multitasking, java and flash.
I do not think Apple have really thought about this one. It's a half baked product, rushed out. If they had included flash, java and multitasking support, this may have been a winner, but now it just looks like an overpriced eReader.
When the rumour of a Tablet Mac was released I imagined a touchscreen iMac, not a bloated iPod touch.

The car market here just plain sucks. There are not many useful models available. Mostly gas guzzling garbage or expensive luxury trash SUV's. Well each people gets the cars that they deserve..........
I'm not a one-dimensional eco-freak, but I would like to see more economical cars on the road. A couple years ago I was in the market for a used car and was shopping for either a Golf TDI or Golf 1.8 T. Very different engines, but both gave something - in one case good economy, in the other case good performance. I ended up being unable to find either and got a Subaru Forester.
I'm still hoping Subaru make good on their original promise of bringing the diesel over to the US.
Still, some of the new small cars coming to the US are promising.

I have found a fun site for those of us that like some of the old time radio programs. http://radiolovers.com/ There is a bunch of stuff there in MP3 ctrl click lets you down load it On the left there is a link for all shows I found this to be a faster way to find what I wanted. Hope that some of you out there have fun with it

while it seems to be a mindbogling amount of data- it does not seem like a lot for datacenter storage.
it will fill about 24 datacenter cabinets - the giganormous thing apple is building on the east coast should be able to host 1000's of such cabinets.
to put it in perspective - some netbook vendors provide 250 gb of online storage with the purchase of their kit. if 40000 users fill up their allotted space with photos, videos documents etc , that will fill up 10 PB of storage. now consider there are 2.5 million ipads out there.... if mobileme users start using 100Gb a piece of online storage to store videos of their dog playing in the park etc. in the cloud, that is 250 million GB or 250 PB of data. so unless i am reading this wrong 12 PB doesnt seem to cut it.

But this nugget of wisdom does not really touch on the substance of the issue arising in the OP, to wit - how much responsiblity does a rape victim carry? Or, to turn the question around, how much of the rape is not the rapist's fault?
What kind of twisted logic hears of a rape decides that looking "like a prostitute" is the salient feature of the case? What about the crazed deviant who committed the crime in the first place? Indeed, I think Gelfin's analogy is apt - if a smartly-dressed man is mugged, should we simply shrug our shoulders and say "well, he looked like he had a lot of money so he was asking for it. He should have been wearing something less ostentatious."
